a Broad-Based Community-Supported Program
This webinar was recorded Monday, January 27, 2014
SORRY. THIS WEBINAR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM WINDRUSH FARM. This material is covered in the Riding Beyond Training for Professionals.

Say you know horses and the remarkable things that happen when they get together with people. Say you’ve done your homework and are proficient in an equine-related discipline; maybe you work in an accredited therapeutic riding center. This presentation introduces you to another important skill: the fundamentals for developing and unfolding effective, energized community-based projects that harness your community’s resources for sustainability and long life of the program.
You will gain practical and theoretical guidelines and tips for taking your great ideas for equine facilitated services and unfolding them into an active program within a few months, a program that sustains itself with a strong base of community support. Theoretical guidelines draw on chaos theory, principles of community development from years of international work by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, and organizational learning theory. The emphasis of the presentation is on tried and true practical, step-by-step methods and tips forged during my work in over 40 years in nonprofit organizations specializing in leadership training and human development, as well as therapeutic riding.
